Coffee on the Porch donates their delightful coffee as a prize for our auction.
What inspired the name Coffee On The Porch?
Coffee on the Porch was actually an event that started years ago with just a friend and myself. We would meet Friday mornings in the summer to sample my coffee on the porch and talk about coffee, family and life. At some point other family and friends joined us and it became a summer event that at times had over twenty people. Once I decided to start the business it only seemed fitting to call it “Coffee on the Porch”.
Join us for breakfast, prizes, and folk music this Saturday on the water. Enjoy the sound of the Androscoggin lake waves and folk tunes.
A longtime musician, Bill Stone and his Stone Quarry band, will perform songs from Stone” the album written and produced 50 years ago by Bill Stone. The LP was reissued by Drag City, a record label in Chicago, and received international attention from music writers in England and France. Calling Stone a “loner folk genius” the writers extolled his moody late-night vibes and cool effects. He will be joined by Bruce Coffin on violin, Stacey Jacobsohn on providing vocals and percussion, and Rob Sherman on Guitar.
