Mainely Coffee donated their coffee and tea gift box for a prize. Mainely Coffee is one of the many coffee roasters of Maine. Roger and Sarah Buzby are the owners and have a rich story about how they started.
The Mainely Coffee Journey
It all began in 1999 when owners Roger and Sarah were first introduced to specialty coffee in Ocho Rios,
Jamaica while on their first cruise. From that point on they were constantly on the hunt for great coffee with mixed results. Fast forward to 2011, one of Roger's family members introduced them to home roasting and over the next six and a half years they educated themselves about and experimented with various coffee roasting methods. In the summer of 2017 Roger and Sarah were trying to come up with a coffee related business idea and were talking it over with a local business owner. After listening to several ideas the business owner asked them, "Why don't you open a coffee roasting business?" Sarah and Roger talked it over and soon managed to secure a small personal loan and on January 1st, 2018
Mainely Coffee was born. Ever since they have striven to craft great tasting coffees roasted in small batches in the shadow of Mount Katahdin.
